2025-26 Season

Take your game to the next level? Herndon Youth Soccer (HYS) is excited to announce tryouts for our Travel Soccer program for the 2025-26 season! HYS offers a year-round, competitive, and development-focused pathway for players aspiring to play at the highest levels of youth soccer.

Our official Travel Soccer Tryouts for the 2025-26 Soccer Year will begin on Monday, April 7.

Tryout Information

Who Can Try Out?
Players born between 2006 and 2017 are eligible to try out for HYS Travel teams.

Tryout Dates & Locations:
Tryouts will take place in April and May 2025 at various fields in Herndon and Sterling. A detailed schedule will be posted soon.

Age Group Breakdown & Pathway:

U9-U19 Travel Teams

ECNL National: Fairfax Virginia Union
ECNL Regional: Black Teams
EDP & NCSL: Red and White Teams

How to Register

All players must pre-register online to attend tryouts. Registration is free and open to all players.

What to Expect at Tryouts

Competitive small-sided and full-field games
Technical skill evaluations
Tactical awareness assessments
Interaction with HYS professional coaching staff

Red or black shirt

Selection Process

Players will be evaluated by our coaching staff and notified of team placement within one week of their final tryout session. Offers will be sent via PLAYMETRICS with instructions on how to accept and register for the upcoming season.
